Input Data List

This is an ASCII file which primarily lists the input normal equation files that are to be combined for a global adjustment. There are however two other items of information which preceed the data list. The first line contains a directory path name, ended with a '/', which tells the Gpscom program where to write the output files. Following this there is a file name that specifies the name for the combined normal equation file. Note that the solution, inverse file will be given the same name as the combined normal equation file but with the extension '.inv'.

The third line of the file is required to be the keyword "DATASETS" which indicates the start of the input data list. The data list itself is simply a list of file names which are to be combined in the adjustment listed one per line and the list is ended with the keyword "END-DF".

The following example is for a case where a working directory "96_119" was established in the root directory "/g1". The intention was that this working directory would be pretty much self contained, therefore 6 input normal equation files from previous runs of the Pages program have been saved there. The directory path name has been given followed by the name of the output combined normal equation file and finally the list of data sets to be combined. Since in this example all of the files are contained in the current working directory, it is not actually necessary to provide the path as part of the file names.
