These contour plots show the amplitude and phase of the vertical displacement for the four semidiurnal and four diurnal tidal harmonics considered in this project. No smoothing has been done on this set of discrete data points so the contouring suffers in some regions, particularly in areas which were sparcely sampled like the Rocky Mountains and the far north. Isolated points, i.e. islands, were omitted in constructing the contours.
