      THE BASE LINE IS LOCATED ABOUT 4 MILES NORTHWEST OF MC CORMACK CORNERS, 5 MILES SOUTHWEST OF SCHENECTADY, 5 MILES
      NORTHWEST OF ALBANY AND ON THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF THE NIAGARA MOWHAWK POWER COMPANY.

      TO REACH THE BASE LINE FROM THE JUNCTION OF U.S. HIGHWAY 20 AND STATE ROAD 146 IN MC CORMACK CORNERS, GO NORTHWEST ON U.S.
      HIGHWAY 20 FOR 3.0 MILES TO THE JUNCTION WITH STATE ROAD 158.  CONTINUE NORTHWEST ON U.S. HIGHWAY 20 FOR 1.4 MILES TO A
      POWERLINE CROSSING.  TURN LEFT AND GO SOUTH ON A POWER LINE ROAD IN POOR CONDITION FOR 0.05 MILE TO 0 METER POINT ON THE
      LEFT AS DESCRIBED.

      THE 0 METER POINT IS 2.5 FEET WEST OF A METAL WITNESS POST, 24 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER OF THE POWER LINE ROAD AND ABOUT
      250 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER OF U.S. HIGHWAY 20.

      ALL THE MARKS ARE NGS DISKS CUT DOWN TO 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER.  THEY ARE SET IN THE TOP OF ROUND CONCRETE MONUMENTS
      PROJECTING ABOUT 6 INCHES ABOVE THE GROUND.  THE DISKS ARE STAMPED WITH THE METER DESIGNATION AND THE DATE 1975.

      THE BASE LINE IS A NORTH-SOUTH LINE WITH THE 0 METER POINT ON THE NORTH END.  THE BASE LINE CONSISTS OF THE 0, 150, 500, 950,
      AND 1300 METER POINTS.  THERE ARE MARKS AT 2400 AND 3300 METERS WHICH WERE MEASURED BY EDM BUT ARE NOT PART OF THE BASE
      LINE.  THE FROM AND TO STATION NAMES (THE METER POINT DESIGNATIONS) WERE PREASSIGNED AND DO NOT AGREE WITH THE MEASURED
      DISTANCES.  THERE IS ANOTHER MARK 839 METERS NORTH OF THE 0 METER POINT WHICH WAS ALSO MEASURED BY THE NGS.  THIS GIVES A
      TOTAL DISTANCE OF 4139 METERS THE LOCAL SURVEYORS WANT FOR CHECKING THEIR GEODOMETERS AND RANGERS.  DUE TO THE LONG DISTANCES
      AND TIME IT WOULD INVOLVE TO MEASURE THESE EXTRA MARKS WITH THE SAME PROCEDURES USED ON THE BASE LINE A SINGLE ONE WAY
      MEASUREMENT WAS MADE TO THEM WITH 2 DIFFERENT INSTRUMENTS.

      THE BASE LINE ADJUSTED DISTANCES LISTED ON THIS PAGE WERE COMPUTED FROM MEASUREMENTS MADE BY NGS IN 1981 AT THE ALBANY
      BASE LINE.  THESE RESULTS INDICATE THE STATUS OF THE ALBANY BASE LINE IN 1981.  THEY IMPLY THAT RELATIVE
      MONUMENT MOVEMENT HAD OCCURRED BETWEEN 1975 AND 1981.

      THE 1981 OBSERVATIONS WERE MADE TO THE SAME SPECIFICATIONS USED IN 1975 BUT NOT WITH THE REQUIRED REDUNDANCY
      FOR ESTABLISHING A CALIBRATION BASE LINE.  UNTIL THE BASE LINE IS FULLY REMEASURED, THE 1982 ADJUSTED DISTANCES SHOULD BE USED
      FOR POST-1981 EDMI TESTING.

      THE 0, 150, 500, AND 1300 METER POINTS WERE RECOVERED IN GOOD CONDITION.  THE 100 FOOT DISK HAS BEEN DESTROYED.  ALL OTHER
      MARKS ON THE 1975  DATA WERE NOT LOOKED FOR AT THIS TIME.  THE 1975 TO REACH IS ADEQUATE.

      THE 0 TO 150 METER SECTION WAS TAPE TRAVERSED AND EDM OBSERVATIONS WERE MADE BETWEEN THE 0, 150, 500, AND 1300 METER
      POINTS ACCORDING TO SPECIFICATIONS.  LEVELS WERE RUN OVER THE MARKS AND A DIFFERENCE OF ABOUT 0.07 FOOT WAS THE LARGEST
      CHANGE NOTED BETWEEN 0 AND 150.  OTHER CHANGES WERE GENERALLY AROUND 0.02 FOOT FOR A TOTAL OF 0.12 FOOT IN ALL.

 THE BASE LINE IS A EAST-WEST LINE WITH THE 0-METER POINT ON THE WEST END.  IT CONSISTS OF THE 0, 150, 430, AND 1400 METER POINTS.  
 THERE IS NO 100 FT. TAPE CALIBRATION MARK.

 QUADRANT OF THE SARATOGA COUNTY AIRPORT.

 THE BASE LINE IS A NORTHEAST-SOUTHWEST LINE WITH THE 0 METER POINT ON THE NORTHEAST END.  THE BASE LINE CONSISTS OF THE 0, 150, 43,
 AND 1010 METER POINTS. THERE IS NO 100-FOOT TAPE CALIBRATION STATION LOCATED AT THIS BASE LINE.

 TO REACH THE BASE LINE FROM THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAY ROUTE 50 AND STATE HIGHWAY ROUTE 67 WEST IN THE VILLAGE OF BALLSTON
 SPA, GO NORTH ON ROUTE 50 FOR 1.1 KM (0.7 MI) TO ITS JUNCTION WITH SOUTH STREET (THE SECOND PAVED ROAD ON THE LEFT BEYOND THE
 FIREHOUSE).   TURN LEFT AND GO WEST ON SOUTH STREET FOR 0.5 KM (0.3 MI) TO A PAVED ROAD RIGHT, DIVISION STREET.  TURN RIGHT AND GO
 NORTH ON DIVISION STREET FOR 0.5 KM (0.3 MI) TO A FIVE WAY INTERSECTION.  CONTINUE NORTH ON GREENFIELD AVENUE (COUNTY ROAD 50) FOR
 3.2 KM (2.0 MI) TO A PAVED CROSS ROAD, GEYSER ROAD (COUNTY ROAD 43).  CONTINUE NORTH ON THE AIRPORT ENTRANCE ROAD FOR 0.3 KM (0.2
 MI) TO A PAVED SIDE ROAD RIGHT: THE ENTRANCE TO THE AIRPLANE HANGARS AND TAXIWAYS.  BEFORE TURNING RIGHT, CHECK IN WITH THE

 THE 430 METER POINT IS A STANDARD NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY (NGS) CALIBRATION BASE LINE DISK, STAMPED "430 M 1999", SET IN THE TOP 
 OF ROUND CONCRETE POST FLUSH WITH SURFACE OF THE GROUND.  IT IS 12.7 MT (41.7 FT) SOUTHEAST FROM THE CHAIN LINK FENCE, 79.0 MT 
 (259.2 FT) NORTHWEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF RUNWAY 5, AND 273.2 MT (896.3 FT) FROM THE FENCE CORNER NEAR THE 150 M STATION. 

1THE 1010 METER POINT IS A STANDARD NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY (NGS) CALIBRATION BASE LINE DISK, STAMPED "1010 M 1999", SET IN THE TOP
 OF ROUND CONCRETE POST FLUSH WITH THE SURFACE OF THE GROUND.  IT IS 331.4 MT (1087 FT) SOUTHWEST FROM THE SOUTHWEST END OF
 RUNWAY 5 AT CENTERLINE, 63.1 MT (207.0 FT) SOUTH OF A FENCE CORNER, AND 78.4 MT (257.2 FT) NORTH OF ANOTHER FENCE CORNER.  

 USER NOTES - CBL USERS SHOULD TAKE CARE IN PLUMBING OVER ALL POINTS.  ELEVATIONS ARE FOR CBL USE ONLY.  FOR INTERVISIBILITY

      WHITE PLAINS ALONG THE WESTERN EDGE OF THE WESTCHESTER COMMUNITY COLLEGE CAMPUS.

      THE 710 METER POINT IS LOCATED ON THE INSIDE OF THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE COLLEGE TRACK WHICH IS ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE
      ROAD BETWEEN THE WEST GRASSLANDS GATE AND THE KNOLLWOOD GATE.  IT IS 145.5 FEET SOUTHWEST OF A WATER FOUNTAIN, 100 FEET
      SOUTH OF REFERENCE MARK NUMBER 1, 41.5 FEET WEST OF REFERENCE MARK NUMBER 2, 23.5 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE CENTER OF A 2 FOOT

 0.6 KM (0.4 MI) TO A PAVED ROAD LEFT. TURN LEFT AND GO EAST FOR 0.2 KM (0.1 MI), UPHILL, AND THROUGH TWO PARKING AREAS TO A ROAD

 FOR 0.3 KM (0.2 MI) TO A CLEARING AND THE 860  METER POINT ON THE RIGHT, AT THE SOUTH END OF THE JOGGING TRACK. TURN LEFT AND GO
