For transforming a set of positional coordinates from one reference frame to another and/or from one time to another, the positional coordinates to be transformed may be listed in an ASCII file as may be created, for example, by NotePad.

Each record in the file must be of the form

X, Y, Z, TEXT

where

X, Y, Z = Earth-centered, Earth-fixed Cartesian coordinates in meters

TEXT = descriptive text identifying the point (up to 24 characters allowed)

Examples:

-1829780.312, -4480906.696, 4139903.804, Salt Air

-3127397.092 -5361346.146 1463090.380 Communication tower

Note that the fields in each record may be separated by blank spaces, instead of commas.

The software will ask you to identify in which reference frame(s) you are working.

Also, the software will ask you for the "from" and "to" dates for transforming the positional coordinates.
