Modified Obstruction Chart (Prototype)

The Modified Obstruction Chart is a collection of three-dimensional geospatial data that has been determined to be relevant to air transportation on and near airports. The FAR-77 Obstruction Identification Surfaces consists of the approach and primary surfaces. The Modified Obstruction Chart deliverables consist of ESRI shapefiles that adheres to the Draft version of the Data Content Standard for Airport Obstruction Charts, Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) metadata describing the content of the shapefiles, an Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) of the airport layout plan, and the Universal Data Delivery Format file. The data accuracy adheres to the standards described in FAA No. 405.
