This week, the National Geodetic Survey (NGS) hosted the Chair and soon-to-be Chair of the U.S. Naval Academy's (USNA) Oceanography Department. NGS provided an overview of the agency's mission and current projects, as well as hosted a roundtable discussion of topics of interest to the USNA curriculum. NOAA's National Ocean Service Office of Coast Survey and National Centers for Coastal and Ocean Science also participated with presentations from their program offices during other portions of the visit. The visit helped initiate a discussion of potential educational collaborations between NOAA and the USNA. For more information, contact Dru Smith.
