NOAA Makes Its Mark at the 2010 ESRI International User Conference

From July 10-16, staff from NOAA's National Geodetic Survey (NGS) participated in the 30th Annual ESRI International User Conference in San Diego, CA, the world's largest conference devoted to geographic information systems (GIS). NOAA attends the conference to sharpen staff skills and for the opportunity to showcase NOAA's geospatial data and products to a diverse international audience. NGS played a leadership role at this year's conference, presenting in various technical sessions. The NOAA exhibit featured interactive computer kiosks where staff demonstrated GIS data, products, and services that support NOAA's mission in the areas of Coastal and Marine Spatial Planning, weather and climate, and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill response efforts.
