Height Modernization Outreach and Education
Outreach, education, and capacity building are important components of the National Height Modernization Program (NHMP). The NHMP regularly participates in national or regional conferences, hosts a monthly teleconference for the exchange of ideas, and develops outreach materials.
Outreach materials have been created to educate people about the National Height Modernization Program by NOAA, the National Ocean Service (NOS), and NGS. Many resources are listed below, but please contact us if you have more questions or need further assistance.
National Height Modernization Program Resources - The NHMP holds a monthly teleconference, makes presentations, and develops hand-out maps or materials.
Learn more below ...National Geodetic Survey Resources - NGS has established a training center in Corbin, VA, and supports an expanding online training program to improve the geodetic positioning capacity of its partners. National Ocean Service Resources – NOS communications specialists prepare podcats and develop other social media resources that are available online. NOS education specialists create tutorials and build lesson plans for other educators.
