NOAA’s National Geodetic Survey (NGS) coordinates a network of continuously operating reference stations (CORS) that provide Global Positioning System (GPS) carrier phase and code range measurements in support of 3-dimensional positioning activities throughout the United States and its territories.  For the last year, NGS has been working with NOAA’s National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC) to establish a parallel CORS data facility in Boulder, Colorado.  During February, NGS will be testing the current implementation of the CORS West installation.  Uses of the CORS data are now expanding into meteorological and ionospheric forecasting.  Please come and learn more about CORS West and the public products being created from CORS data by NOAA’s National Geodetic Survey, Forecast System Laboratory, and Space Environment Center.
