06/16/98 16:50 DEFECT in program Snxdif
SYMPTOM: Print file missing part of the file name in some headers
PROBLEM: When long path names are used not enough space is
available in a print line.
CORRECTION: As per discussions with Bob Dulaney we agreed to truncate
the path when the name is too long, leaving only the final
file name to be printed. The entire name including the long
path will still be printed at the very begining of the output
file.
FOUND BY: Bob Dulaney
FIXED BY: Bill Dillinger
VERSION: 9806.16
SOURCE: /g1/HPUX.10/Src/Snxdif/snxdif.f
EXECUTABLE: /g1/HPUX.10/Bin
NOTES: This solution could still produce a poor result if the path name
is very long and the files being compared by Snxdif have names
which differ only in the directory structure. Since this is not
a critical matter, only an esthetic one I will leave it like this
unless I get some better suggestions.
