98/05/18 DEFECT in editdb
SYMPTOM: 1) small cycle slips apparently undetected by editdb
2) small slopes due to apparent bad channel not deleted
3) short data spans not deleted by editdb
PROBLEM: 1) a cycle slip at cell boundary was not great enough to
trigger cycle slip detection
2) slopes due to bad channel did not exceed threshold
to cause detection
3) not all data spans were being checked for minimum length
CORRECTION: 1) cycle slip detection threshold at cell boundaries we
lowered within editdb
2) slope detection limit entered by users in editdb.inp was
lowered from 0.5 to 0.4 for the orbiteers.
3) editgaps subroutine was modified to check all data
strings more thoroughly.
