  This is an image generated from 2'x2' geoid undulations covering the
principal islands of the state of Hawaii.  Some interesting features to 
note about this image are:

  The moderate highs (green/yellow) which align neatly with the islands
are the effect of the (dense) islands, relative to the (less dense) surrounding
sea water, on the geoid.  Larger islands (like Hawaii itself) naturally produce
larger changes in the geoid (thus the red high seen over the Island of Hawaii).
