  This is an image generated from 2'x2' E/W surface deflections of the
vertical covering the Caribbean Sea and surrounding areas.  Some interesting 
features to note about this image are:

  The extensive N/S red feature (paralleled by a magenta feature) is the
effect of the Puerto Rico trench on the deflections of the vertical.  Some
of the largest geoid tilts in the world are found here, inducing large
deflections of the vertical as well.

  The large red signal off the east shore of North America is due to the
drop in bathymetry, demarking the edge of the continental shelf.
