  This is an image generated from 2'x2' N/S surface deflections of the
vertical covering the principal islands of the state of Hawaii.  Some 
interesting features to note about this image are:

  The largest deflections are most prominently displayed around the island
of Hawaii.  This is due to the large undulation changes that
take place around the island.  In addition, the dominant E/W nature of 
the island chain yields N/S gradients in the geoid (yielding N/S deflections)
which can be seen as yellow/orange (North) and Blue/Purple (South) around 
even the smallest islands.
