COMPUTATION OF G96SSS SCIENTIFIC GEOID HEIGHT

A G96SSS scientific geoid model height can be computed for a specific geographic location. Users are required to input latitude and longitude for the point in the format defined below. Position coordinates should be in NAD 83 or ITRF (not NAD27).

There are three valid formats for entering latitude
and longitude.  West longitudes are positive.  Valid formats
are:
     
     1. Degrees, minutes, and decimal seconds or
      
       Ex.  Latitude 41 15 30.0221
            Longitude 98 55 40.7651
     
     2. Degrees, and decimal minutes or

       Ex.  Latitude 41 25.3453
            Longitude 98 55.6634

     3. Decimal degrees.

       Ex.  Latitude 41.2810
            Longitude 98.9381
