DEFLEC93 / DALASKA94

DEFLEC93 was the second high-resolution deflection of the vertical model for the United States computed at the National Geodetic Survey, and derived from GEOID93. It did not originally contain data for Alaska, Hawaii nor Puerto Rico, but when DALASKA94 (from ALASKA94) was created, the grids for Puerto Rico/Virgin Islands and Hawaii were computed and labeled as DEFLEC93.

DEFLEC93 and DALASKA94 were disseminated on 5 1/4" floppy disks only. They are being made available on the web for historical, investigative purposes only. NGS recommends the use of only our latest deflection of the vertical model. See the NGS geoid page to find out what that model currently is.
