This map shows the distribution of sites that participate in the CORS Network.
Use tools on the left side of the Google map to zoom in and out and move/pan as well as go to street view.
If you click on one of the colored icon on the map you will get a link
with detailed information about the site. If you click on the icons in
the legend it will plot all of the sites with that sampling rate.
You can turn the legend on and off that is placed on the right side of the map. If you want to
see sites of a specific sampling rate you can click the icons on the legend to display that
sampling rate only. You can also turn all rates back on or view decommissioned sites.
The blue circle that appears when the user scrolls over a site shows a 250 km
radius circle and the 3 closest CORS and their distance from the cursor are
listed along with the approximate coordinates of the cursor.
To place an X on a specific point you can either:
right click the mouse to place X and an associated red circle
type in a location (city, county, etc) in the box to the left and hit go
or click the "Place X" button in the menu to the left of the map to place the X in the center of the map
Once you place an X on the map you will see in the panel to the left of the map a listing of up to 20 sites that are within 250 km of the selected location ordered by distance.
