The NYSDOT facility in Plattsburgh, NY, where CORS NYPB is located has lost their internet connection. As a result we haven.t received any data from NYPB since 13:30 EDT yesterday, 9/24/13. The receiver will store up to 48 hours of data.

Today both PARY & ROSS came back on-line after a modem replacement (PARY) and a modem reset (ROSS). PWEL came back on-line last week after an antenna cable replacement (announced separately). A short data outage is expected for PWEL in the near future when the temporary antenna cable is replaced with a permanent one.
It took a while but all GL-CORS sites are now on-line and the entire backlog of data has been retrieved and posted to the usual archives.

We are having some problems with the antenna at NYSDOT CORS NYAB, so there will not be any RINEX data produced from that location until further notice.

Data ceased being available from all 26 sites operated by Florida DOT on Thursday, September 12, 2013 , at 21:00Z (doy-of-year 255).
The provider has been notified but has not yet responded, so we are uncertain if the data will be available for later retrieval or if the data are irretrievably lost.
Clearly, OPUS-RS will not operate in Florida without data from the statewide FLDOT network. OPUS-S, however, continues to operate efficiently from sites operated in Florida by the US Coast Guard.

Thanks for your response. I spoke with Ron Hanson with the FDOT and he said that he's working on connecting FDOT & NGS back together again (said it might be today, but no guarantee). Also stated that he's not sure if the data from the last week will be retrievable.

We have lost communication with VTDA and VTRI. VTDA appears to be a receiver malfunction and may take some time to resolve. We have contacted someone at VTRI and hopefully will have that resolved soon.

Further to my message last week about communications to CBRG, PARY and ROSS being off-line, these sites have now joined by MCHN and KNGV. The past week has been the worst for outages since operations began in 2001. The following summarizes the status of these sites:
CBRG - unknown problem with comms (periodically comes back on then goes off shortly after; I am driving the 400 km tomorrow to debug the problem and hopefully fix it.
KNGV - was off-line yesterday but is being reset today.
MCHN - waiting for a reset; the local contact is out of town and won't be able to do a reset until Tue or Wed.
PARY - waiting for a reset; the hydrographic group is trying to convince someone at the local Coast Guard base to do it, otherwise I'll have to drive the 500 km and do it myself (and find some willing to do future resets).
ROSS - waiting for a reset; the local contact lost the key and is waiting for the hydrographic group to courier a new one.
In addition communications to two IGS sites (ALRT & SHE2) are off-line with more serious problems. Note that we don't expect any loss of data at any of these sites.
Best regards, -Mike

Since yesterday we have lost communications to our Great Lakes CORS sites CBRG (Cobourg) and PARY (Parry Sound). Unfortunately, our local contacts in both communities, the Canadian Coast Guard, no longer wish to provide any support. We are now looking for alternate contacts.
And ROSS continues to remain off-line since Sunday. Although we have a local contact, he lost the key to the gauge house and is waiting for a replacement to arrive.
I will advise when we have comms back on-line and the backlog of data has been retrieved.

Our crew just reported that they ran into a problem with the new cable run that is appurtenant to the antenna swap-out. The guys need to return to the site to finish this work. CTDA will be down until tomorrow (8/30/13) late morning / early afternoon.
I apologize for this inconvenience.

We have lost communications to our Great Lakes CORS site MCHN (Michipicoten), near Wawa, Ontario. Unfortunately, our local contact has also lost the keys to the gauge house where our equipment is located. We won't be able to reboot the satellite modem and router until we can courier him a new key, likely later this week or early next week. I will advise when coms are back on-line and the backlog of data has been retrieved.

We plan on changing CTDA's antenna Thursday 29th. It will be offline For several hours while cable and antenna are changed. We are experiencing intermittent communication problems with the Randolph CORS (VTC1). We are working with someone at the site and will hopefully have it resolved soon.
Also, The State will be doing network maintenance this Friday, August 16th between 7:00-8:00am. This will cause a network interruption to all network connections into, out of the building housing the CORS server. Please plan accordingly.

The Florida Primary Reference Network System (FPRN) server farm will be undergoing server migration during the next 8 to 10 business days between the hours of 6 pm and 8 am. You may notice an interruption of service during this time period as we are in the process of moving the network of 12 FPRN servers to a more robust computer environment with around the clock technical support provided by the State of Florida's Shared Resource Center in Tallahassee, Florida.

When I returned from the field this morning I was told of a water main break near the server for our LYCO CORS site. Upon inspection our engineer has concluded that our computer hardware is a total loss but that our antenna setup has remained untouched and unharmed. We are currently seeking a solution with our vender for both hardware and software.
Please be advised that our site will be down until we can affect a
replacement. We understand the need for expediency and ask that you bear
with us until such time as we can install a replacement for our system.
