This map shows the distribution of sites that participate in the CORS Network.
Use tools on the left side of the Google map to zoom in and out and move/pan. The topmost button allows the user to zoom in by an extent rectangle. The middle button between the arrows returns the zoom to default extent.
If you click on one of the colored icon on the map you will get a link with detailed information about the site. If you click on the icons in the legend it will plot all of the sites with that sampling rate.
The blue circle that appears when the user scrolls over a site shows a 250 km radius circle and the 3 closest CORS and their distance from the cursor are listed along with the approximate coordinates of the cursor.
To place an X on a specific point you can either:
-RIGHT click on mouse to place X and an associated red circle
- type in a location (city, county, etc) in the box to the left and hit go
- or you can click the "Place X" button to place the X in the middle of the map
On the panel to the left of the map you will get a listing of up to 20 sites that are within 250 km of the selected location ordered by distance.
